Thought by Medieval Scholars to be giant carnivorous worms that lived on The Indus River (South Asia). They came in different sizes, with small being 8 feet long and large being 20 or more feet long. The creatures have an appetite for human flesh. They lay in wait long the River and wait for a human to come too near. The rapidly emerge from the water and come right down on top of the prey (swallowing them whole). It was said their blood was a powerful neurotoxin and highly valued by Warriors for use in battle.
