Iblis

Associated with The Middle East and The Arabian Desert, The Iblis were said to be "fallen" Angels of Islam. The were the chief source behind the creation of The Djinn. They are very evil and destroy mankind with a fervor. Associated closely with Christianity's story of The Angel Lucifer and his fall from Grace, The Iblis story is similar. In Calling into question God's Authority - this warranted their expulsion from Heaven as well. Cast onto The Earth, The Iblis set his wrath on humans. The Iblis are masters of deception and can assume any shape or form - living or inanimate. Although born of fire (their natural state), they prefer more pleasing images. In this way they can confuse and draw man away from his worship of God. In The Middle East, they live on the hot Sands of it's deserts, perfectly at home. Being holy or pious is the best way to avoid running into an Iblis (if your traveling in the Desert).
