A true 1950s Classic Monster ''romp'', 1957s '' I Was A Teenage Werewolf'' served as the launching ''pad'' for a very young American Actor Michael Landon (this was his first film). The movie is considered to be the most successful of American International Pictures (the primary ''grinder'' of classic ''schlock'') films. It is still popular to this day. The Black and White thriller deals with a troubled High School Boy who is psychoanalyzed. The ''treatment'' involves ''regression'' to a more ''primitive state''. This animalistic ''throwback'' takes the form of a werewolf-like Being. At first, our Hero (whose anger brings forth the transformation) is able to control his changes. Later, it becomes too hard and He manifests- unable to turn back. Going on a rampage of carnage, He is finally shot dead (slowly returning to His normal human form). Although highly criticized as being another ''Teenage Trouble'' movie at the time, ''I Was A Teenage Werewolf'' would retain a Cult status very quickly, as being a classic example of the 1950s Horror genre.
