From Ancient Mesopotamia, The Humbaba were a race of mythical Giants, created to guard the legendary Forest of Cedars (akin to The Garden of Eden) from humans (by The Gods). Huge, they were said to be part rock and could breath fire. Said to also possess the claws of a Vulture, The Humbaba featured as a cautionary tale in many ancient Mesopotamian texts.
