An unconfirmed and seldom admitted to tradition that developed in the 19th Century British Royal Navy, the practice of never setting sail or conducting Operations on a Friday is officially not admitted to by The Admiralty. Conversely, no record of a Warship named The ''Friday'' exists. However, some Historians cite that such a Warship did. Named The ''Friday'' , it was commanded by a Captain James Friday, and launched from Liverpool on Friday The 13th (possibly during The Napoleonic Wars). The Ship and Crew were never heard from again, prompting no Warships ever setting sail on a Friday. Perhaps true, perhaps Naval Urban Legend .
