Hippogriff

 Although similar creatures were mentioned by the Ancient Greeks, The Hippogriff is first mentioned in the 15th Century. A mythical creature, it was part Eagle and part Horse. As such, it could fly (and was very fast on the ground). The Hippogriff is often used in fable and story as transportation for Wizards and Magicians. In some cultures, The Hippogriff is a symbol for Love.
