Hermes Trismegistus

From Ancient 3rd Century BC Greece, ''Hermes Trismegistus'' was a combined form of The God ''Hermes'' and The Egyptian God ''Thoth''. As in later Roman Religions, the combining of Gods from different Religions, to ''create'' a ''new Deity'', was common. In the case of Hermes Trismegistus – ''He'' was reputed to be Author of several ancient writings, which ''explained'' The Afterlife and other supernatural ''questions'' of Mankind. Most of this belief'' has been proven to be more ''Human'' in authorship and less ''preternatural''. But many of the writings handed down by Hermes Trismegistus would serve as foundations for later Occultist and Spiritualist Religions of The World.
