Founded in 1824, The Shelbourne Hotel as been a fixture of The City of Dublin, Ireland. It's 265-Rooms provide a quaint repose for Tourists to The City. Having ''seen'' much of Dublin's History since the mid-19th Century, many Guests report several reported Ghost encounters within it's walls. One such, is the sightings of British Soldiers housed there during The Rising of 1916. Doors open and close on their own, ''heavy boots'' have been ''heard'' marching thru the Halls, etc. But perhaps the most common is that of The Ghost of Mary Masters. She was identified by several Psychic Mediums over the years. Mary it seems, was a 17-year old Girl who (with her Family), lived in a series of Roadhouses which existed where The Shelbourne was built prior to 1824. According to ''Mary'', She ''died in 1791, when a Cholera Epidemic swept thru The City and The Country. Without proper care, most of the poorer Class died within weeks of exposure. ''Mary'' it seems – dying so young, does not wish to ''leave'' the property, and is often confused as to ''where'' Her former Home is. Guests report that at times, ''something climbs into their bed at night'', with reports of ''cold feet'' being felt. Mary also seems ''amazed'' by the ''in-door plumbing'' – by constantly turning on and off faucets and showers. All and all, a neat ''amenity'' which can be experienced should you visit The Shelbourne Hotel.
