The Chateau Marmont is a moderately expensive Hotel located in West Hollywood, California. It has been frequented by MANY Hollywood Stars over the years. It was also at The Marmont that – in 1982, the tragic death of Comedian John Belushi happened. Another ''sad tale'' in Hollywood, Drugs and Alcohol were another cause for the early death of who was seen as the ''funniest Man in the 1980s''. Belushi made a name for Himself as an early Television Star of The American Comedy Show ''Saturday Night Live'' (still in Production). Laterm His fame extended to Films and even a successful career as a ''Bluesman'' with His formed Band ''The Blues Brothers''. But the funny ''Fat Man'' had a ''dark side'' of Depression and self-destruction which caused His body to be found in His Suite at The Marmont, dead of an overdose. But John apparently is still ''attached'' To The Hotel (which He frequented often). The tale started in 1999, when a Family stayed in the very same Room Belushi died in. Two connecting Rooms to a Living Space, a young 5-year old was put to bed in on of them. That night, His Parents were ''awoke'' to their Son ''giggling and laughing''.They checked on the Lad and found nothing unusual, and made Him go back to sleep. In the morning when they checked out, in The Main Lobby of The Marmont – hangs photographs of all the famous Stars who have stayed there. The little Boy walked over to The Wall of Fame and immediately pointed to the one of Belushi. The Boy said that ''that was The Funny Man who came to His room last night and made Him laugh''........''Huh?''
