An ominous warning for a rather ominous Hotel – The Andra is located in The City of Seattle, Washington State (US). Originally known as The Claremont – The 10-story medium sized Business was built in 1926. The then Claremont Hotel would become a mecca for Prohibition Era Gangsters (many of whom who resided there). Illegal Gambling, a Bar (alcohol was illegal then) and of course Prostitutes were common. Several such ''Women of The Night'' met their end there under ''mysterious circumstances''. So too, did several Gangsters. Later in the 1940s, the then renamed Andra (under different Ownership) – served as Headquarters for The US Army Women Army Corps. At least 2 suicides for unknown reasons happened there then. Falling into a more ''seedier'' vein in the 1950s and 1960s, several other Owners renovated The Andra in an attempt to draw better Customers. A general Citywide effort to renovate much of Downtown Seattle did the trick. Currently a 119-bed establishment is popular with travelers for it overall location. That and the Ghosts of course.
The 9th Floor of The Andra appears to be one of the ''hotspots'' for Paranormal activities. Customers and Employees tell of ''seeing'' 1920s clad Women often, moving in rooms – and thru walls apparently. Also, uniformed Women are also ''glanced'' wandering the floors. ''Parties'' are heard coming from the basement (where as stated many Bootleggers and Gangsters gathered to drink and play). When one ''turns of the lights'' to the otherwise dark location – all ''noise stops'' (only to restart when turned off) – so it is claimed. Some Guests tell stories of the occasional ''Person'' (Dark and appearing as a Shadow) – either standing near their bed when they wake up briefly – or of ''someone climbing into bed with them!''. To date no really threatening activity has been reported – only Spirits wishing to let their presence be ''known''.
