Another Ancient Greek God, Hades was one of 3 Sons to the God Kronos. He was also brother to Zeus. Kronos ruled as King of The Gods BEFORE Zeus in some versions. Zeus grew an Army of like-mined Gods and deposed Kronos. Upon taking control of Olympus, Zeus merged The Universe into 3 Realms (with the goal of giving his other brothers their own Kingdoms to Rule, so as not to depose him!). Poseidon was given control of all waters, Zeus would control The Heavens, and Hades would rule over The Underworld (and the spirits of those who have died). Seem in Greek Culture as Master of Death, Hades rules over The Underworld with a vast collection of Assistants . He also oversees The River Styx (or River of The Dead). Judeo-Christian beliefs were no doubt influenced by Hades and his myth (as it was well absorbed into Roman religious beliefs as well). Hades has MANY forms when depicted (mostly seen as a Dark King or Prince).
