Gwragedd Annwn

The ‘’Gwragedd Annwn’’ were said to be ‘’Lake Maidens’’ in Welsh Mythos. These Fairy Beings were (by and large), invisible to the Human eye. Living deep beneath Lakes and Rivers, They are often ‘’shy’’ to Contact. When They are ‘’seen’’, The Gwragedd Annwn are simple ‘’splashes of Light’’.  In a common Origin Tale, The Annwn were said to have been once Humans, but were Pagan. When St. Patrick came by their waterside community of Llyn Barfog – they chastised and taunted Him. He ‘’cursed’’ the community, which ‘’became’’ The Fairy Species henceforth.
