Grootslang

 Said to live in deep caves located in Richtersveld, South Africa, it is a story of Dutch invention. Said to be a huge beast that appears to be an Elephant with a long saurian tail , they are said to be Green in color. Seen in 1917 by Hunters, the Beast charged them and was shot at by large caliber guns. These had no effect on The Grootslang. It ran away back into it's cave. Said to devour normal Elephants as it's primary source of food, a larger Expedition was lead to capture (or kill) The Grootslang in the 1920s. The entire Expedition was never heard from again prompting many Native in the area to claim The Grootslang killed them.
