The Antagonist of the Ancient Dane Saga Beowulf, The Grendal was born of his Mythical shapeshifting Mother (whose name is not mentioned), and the human King Hrothgar. Grendal is annoyed by loud human noises, and when yet another drunken celebration erupts at The Kings Mead Hall, Grendal goes on the attack (killing many warriors). The king puts out a call for any able warrior in his Kingdom  to slay Grendal (for wealth and title). Enter Beowulf of The Ghets. He uses his great skill as a warrior to mortally injuring Grendal. In summation, Grendal dies and his Mother seeks revenge against Beowulf. It was speculated centuries later that being a shapeshifter, Grendal could take the appearance of anything he wished. He chose a deformed Giant to frighten humans. It was even speculated that Grendal and his Mother were offsprings of Lilith  Mother of All Monsters.
