Another Japanese "Haunt", are The Goryo. THE "restless" Spirits are strictly those if the "Wealthy Departed". Having all in life, apparently this was not enough to keep them from death! They can resemble a "regular" Human or assume the form of pretty much anything else (even inanimate objects). Once a person places such a "cursed" Object in their home, The Goryo has free reign to terrorize. Angered that their wealth did not give them continued life, they prefer to torment the poor of The World. In Ancient Japan, they were known to cause floods and make crops fail. Some even thought that if one burned and destroyed a Goryo's once "earthly home" and possessions, that this Act would remove the evil Spirit (but there is no proof that this worked).
