The Haitian Culture, which claims links to West African Religious Beliefs and it's Mythology – has many Deities that are described as ''Spider Gods'' or ''Tricksters''. Gizo was one of them. Shown as a Hybrid of part-Man and part Arachnid, Gizo was used in folk tales as a ''cautionary tale''. Trusting Gizo most always led to disaster, for He would take the form of something wanted.
