Another Voodoo Guide or ''Ghede'', Ghede Masaka is associated with Death and Cemeteries. Often seen as a ''Gravedigger'', Masaka carried a bag with a poisonous reptile and a Human umbilical cord. This symbolizes both ''Life and Death''. Masaka is unusual in that ''She'' (or He if you prefer) is portrayed as both Male and Female in gender roles.
