The ''Genickschussanlage'' was a form of Execution, used primarily by Nazi Germany, during World War II. Developed in The Labor and Concentration Prison Camp Systems, it was a practice at first reserved for the many thousands of captured Soviet Military prisoners. Taken into a small room, the Prisoner was told that He was to be ''Medically Evaluated''. Placed against the wall, was a weight scale – upon which the Prisoner was told to stand. A specially made (hidden) opening hid the ''real'' evaluation, a 9mm bullet. Shot thru the head, the body was removed and the ''next'' Prisoner was brought in. The floor to The Genickschussanlage was painted dark Brown (as a means of hiding bloodstains). Perhaps as many as 2,000 Soviet Prisoners may have perished in this fashion.
