Japanese ''Monster Movie'' Star ''Gappa'' was a 1967 which features a ''Bird-Lizard'' Beast which had nothing to do with The ''Godzilla Universe'' of Monsters. All taken, ''Gappa'' wasn't a bad film. A Japanese Millionaire sends a Research Team to a remote Pacific Island to investigate it's potential as a Resort. The Team finds Natives, Tropical Sun and a Cave with a Centuries old Statue of a Gappa and a giant egg! The egg hatches and instant ''Baby Gappa''. Taken back to Japan to study (and make The Millionaire lots of cash, we find that ''Baby Gappa'' has two extremely angry ''Big Gappa'' Parents. After tracking Baby down and the obligatory destruction of Tokyo The Gappa are reunited and go back to their Island Paradise. ''Gappa'' for some reason was never shown in US Theaters and only was found on early 1970s Television ''Creature Features''.
