''Gamera vs Gyaos'' (1967)

From 1967 and Japan, ‘’Gyaos’’ was a ‘’Giant Monster Villian’’ featured in the 1967 Film, ‘’Gamera vs Gyaos’’.  Gamera, as we have seen, was a ‘’Hero Monster’’ depicted as a ‘’Giant Flying Turtle’’, with ‘’Godzilla-Like’’ radioactive breath. Gyaos was a ‘’prehistoric’’ Bat-Like Creature, which both flew and walked upright (bipedal). After awakening from being buried millions of years ago – in a now inert volcano, Gyaos roams around Tokyo (as is typical) – destroying it. Soon it’s Gamera to the rescue, who after several heated battles, finally drags off Gyaos – and drops Him into Mount Fuji. Seen by Fans as a simple ‘’stock character’’ – the 175-foot Gyaos was never used again.
