One of Judaic and Christian Religions Archangels – ''Gabriel'' was used by God as a ''Messenger''. Gabriel is often found in The Old Testament ''bringing instruction'' to various Prophets. His ''appearance'' os often ''sudden'' and in a ''flash of light''. Medieval Art began to portray Gabriel (as they did the other Archangels), as a ''beautiful young Man'' – either clothed in an armor Breastplate and Greaves (although even this image changed thru History, even to being a ''Unisex'' being). Also shown as ''The Strength of God'' – a word of ''encouragement'' from Gabriel was said to 'fortify'' One against ''adversity''. In addition to Judaic and Christian sources, ''Gabriel'' was also known to The Muslim Faith – with His name appearing several times in The Quran. Later in The New Testament of The Christian Bible – ''Gabriel'' would be given the task of ''telling'' Mary that She would serve as The Mother of Jesus Christ.
