An ''invented'' character most associated with ''most'' Frankenstein Films ''Igor'' never actually existed in Mary Shelley's Novel. He first appeared in the Universal Pictures 1931 Classic and would appear occasional thereafter. Igor was more of an ''atmospheric'' component of Horror Movies in the 1930s thru 1960s. Some ''versions'' have Him traditionally as a Hunchbacked Lab Assistant, while others ''normal, but creepy''. Igor is seen as the trusty ''Mad Scientist Assistant''. He has even been used by Count Dracula (in several of those Films). Probably the best rendering of Igor was 1974s ''Young Frankenstein'' played with great comedy relief by British Actor Marty Feldman.
