Perhaps one of the most bizarre ''Frankenstein'' Movies ever made – 1965s ''Frankenstein Conquers The World'' was a Japanese Toho Film Production attempt at side stepping from their much more successful ''Godzilla'' franchise. A Hit with Japanese audiences, it fared poorly elsewhere – but would rise to Cult Classic in the 1970s. In this strange film, it is the end of World War II, and German Scientists ''find'' the actual Heart of The Frankenstein Monster (apparently the story was true). The Heart is the key to immortality. To safeguard it from Allied capture, it is secretly shipped to The Japanese. They place the Heart into a body, but just then – The A-Bomb is dropped. The resulting radiation bring the body (and Heart) back to life. The ''Monster'' runs off into nearby mountains and begins to grow to ''Monster Size'' (of course). The ''Giant Frankenstein'' (a Japanese Actor wearing animal skins and donning the ''Classic'' Frankenstein ''Flat Head), fights traditional Japanese Monsters (and Himself at times). In a climatic battle, Frankenstein kills His giant Monster adversary, but is ''killed'' when He is swallowed by a volcano fissure. The ''ominous'' end states that while the Monster's body may be destroyed – The Heart is immortal and still living.......somewhere. As stated, a very silly premise and you will laugh – but ''Frankenstein Conquers The World'' is worth the effort to watch The Japanese ''version'' of the infamous Monster.
