A 1958 British ''B-Move'', The ''Fiend Without A Face'' was somewhat more popular in The United States that Britain. A Black and White feature, it would become main fare for The Drive-In Movie fans of the 1950s and 1960s. The story deals with invisible Aliens who attack and kill Humans. They steal their Brain and Spinal Cord, generating a kind of ''Eye stalk'' and move about, multiplying their numbers to eventually take over The Earth and use those surviving Humans as Slaves. They need to siphon Atomic radiation to survive.  We are later told that these are not ''Aliens'' after all, but the result of a local Scientific Experiment involving the physical manifestation of a persons ''thought process''. This ''Id'' made real, is a totally different life form. The US Air Force Base nearby uses a Nuclear Power Station to lure the now hundred of crawling Brains to the source. Attracted like magnets, they expend too much energy in the process and once at the Station, the power is cut off. The ''Aliens'' die from lack of nourishment. The Movie was most noted for it's ''cheap'' but effective use of ''Crawling Brains'' that attack. While the occasional ''wire'' is seen (due to the low special effects budget), ''Fiend Without A Face'' is worth a view, if for nothing than showcasing typical Drive-In Movie films of the period.
