Fallen Angels

 As We have seen, many Religions have Spiritual Entities that are known as ‘’Angels’’. Likewise, most have Tales which have such Beings ‘’falling from favor’’ with Their particular Deity. Often such transgressions are punished by being ’’removed’’ from Their position or place of fidelity. Hence, the tern ‘’fallen’’. But even in this identifier, the term ‘’fallen’’ is more ‘’modern’’ in invention than tradition. In terms of Western Religious Culture, ‘’Fallen’’ does not appear. More appropriately, the term used is ‘’Cast Out’’.  With regards to Biblical accounts, it is know that God ‘’cast out’’ a band of rebellious Angels, led by Lucifer. But most of the reason is more faded and than explained. It wasn’t until the 17th Century and John Milton’s ‘’Paradise Lost’’, that a more comprehensive ‘’explanation’’ appears. A ‘’War in Heaven’’ to wrest control of Paradise from God, led to a ‘’Civil War’’ (of sorts) in Eternity. God’s ‘’Loyal Angels’’ defeated the rebellious Angels. God did not destroy Them, but removed Them from ‘’His Grace’’ by ‘’casting Them onto The Earth’’ (metaphorically). They had no ‘’form’’ (Spirit). Taking residence in the dimension later identified as ‘’Hell’’ by Humanity, God would use These ‘’Fallen’’ as part of ‘’The Balance’’ in Human development, primarily in establishing ‘’Good from Bad’’ and ‘’Right from Wrong’’. Man would be given the choice to ‘’choose’’ which path to Eternity…Damnation or Paradise.

‘’Fallen Angels’’ represented vices in most Cultures. Such actions were used to tempt Man into veering away from a path of Enlightenment. Hence, Fallen Angels scour The World sowing many of Humankinds more ‘’darker sides’’, in the attempt to consistently disrupt ‘’God’s Plan’’. Mankind has the free will to choose ‘’which’’. Later Scholars of biblical studies assign other identifiers to The Fallen. Thru supernatural means, some of The Fallen would take ‘’Human Form’’ and procreate with Human Females. This created another ‘’species’’, often identified as The Nephilim (and other names). This Race of Beings, Hybrids – were seen as possible ‘’Masters of The Earth’’. To counter this transgression, biblical (and others) accounts show God (or The Creator), destroying The Earth by water (The Flood). This apparently worked (to a degree).  Thru later Literary works, ‘’Fallen Angels’’ have taken on both Evil or Tragic personifications (Good and Bad). In Art, Fallen are most often portrayed as Human, but with Angelic Wings – stained ‘’Black’’. Resembling Human, They would take on more sinister and monstrous ‘’looks’’ with Their embracing a more ‘’Evil nature’’ (made more so by Writers and Painters).
