Related to Scottish ''Fairy'' Legends, ''Fairy Locks'' appear on Horses manes (and on some little children's hair). The animal or human hair is braided in fine and tight patterns. It is considered a sign of good luck. In some Regions however, Fairy Locks are a ''sign'' of possible illness.
