Transplanted to South American and The Caribbean via African Slaves (17th Century AD), elements of traditional Christianity can also be found in Espiritismo. The focus of The Belief is that both ''Good and Evil'' Spirits influence Human Life. Being ''all around'', such Spirits can be appeased and even warded off via complex Rituals very similar to Exorcisms. However, rather than a single Priest or Priestess, many such are involved in both invoking ''Good'' Spirits and the removing of ''Bad'' Ones. Elements of The Belief can be found in The Santerian and related Religious Systems. The Espiritismo Belief is most popular in Cuba, and as stated combines Kongo African and Christian identities.
