Another ‘’merged’’ Deity of the Umbanda Belief, ‘’Eshu’’ is likened to Chr9istanity’s St. Anthony of Padua. He is the Patron of Enforcement for Obatala. Eshu ensures Mankind follows the perceived ‘’Natural Law’’. This can mean anything from not taking advantage of Nature or Man to ‘’how’’ One lives One’s life (Moral or Immoral). Concepts like Justice, Kindness etc. are all attributed to Eshu and He is set apart as the ‘’ideal’’ to try and strive for during Life among Umbandan Practitioners.
