The Gurage Tribe of Ethiopia have for Centuries ''believed'' that Demons can and do possess people. Most unusual, The tribe reports that it's male members are most prone to ''infection''. As such, Shaman note that when a male member begins to complain of severe ''pains in the stomach'' and is ''incapable of consuming food'' – He is so possessed. The Cure? A rather ''pungent'' dish made of a local ''fruit flower'' called Ensete. The plant is from the Banana Family and is indicative to Ethiopia only. The plant is ground into a thick pulp, into which is mixed butter and hot pepper. The possessed is placed into a ''sympathetic trance'', in which His head is completed covered, leaving only His mouth open. The Shaman begins to shove the rather ''spicy'' paste into the victims mouth. More and more of treatment is administered until the Man begins to vomit. With the release of the vomit, so too is ''driven'' out of the body. In some cases however, victims have been known to die from the practice.
