The Meitei of Northern India identify ''Emoinu'' as a ''Prime'' Goddess of Their Mythology. ''She'' was Patron of Home and Hearth, as well as many other attributes of Meitei Culture. A ''Mother Goddess'', She created Humans and gave them Wisdom and the means to live in Peace with not only Himself, but Nature. In Art and Icon, Emoinu was portrayed as an ''Old Woman'', always in a state of contemplation.
