From Ancient Greek Mythology – ‘’Eirene’’ was one of The ‘’Horae’’. These were a type of Goddess that was ‘’of The Earth’’. As such, They regulated many facets of not only the passing of Seasons, but of Time. Eirene in particular was the personification of ‘’Peace and Prosperity’’. A Daughter of Zeus, She would later be associated with Fertility. When adopted (later), by Rome – She became known as ‘’Pax’’. In both Greek and Roman Art, Eirene was shown as a ‘’White’’ Dove, which to this day is still the symbol of ‘’Peace’’.
