In yet another filming of the classic ''Lord of The Undead'' – Universal Picture's 1979 outing of ''Dracula'' attempted to inject heavy Gothic Romance (and even sex), into the immortal Count. Starring American Actor Frank Langella in the Title Role, the Film departed from much of the original Bram Stoker Novel and previous versions – following more closely to the original stage Production of 1924. The suave Langella ''oozed'' sensual charm, rather than a ''bloody fanged'' Vampire. And while a Horror Film (with fair amounts of blood and gore when needed), this production was extremely unusual for the typical ''Dracula'' Fan. Moderately well received in both The United States and Great Britain – ''Dracula'' became a small Cult Classic. Not a bad version by any means – the 1979 version is a great way to spend a Weekend Night for any true Vampire or Gothic Horror Fan.
