A Classic piece of 1970s Television Horror Genre (originally ''ruled'' by Dan Curtis) – 1973s ''Don't Be Afraid of The Dark'' is an unsung piece which got little attention when first released. Atmospheric and quite scary for what it is, it was part of The ABC Television Network's ''Movie of The Week'' motif. In years since, the Film did become a minor Cult Fan Classic and even influenced a ''related'' Big Budget Movie (VERY loosely based on the original). As for the 1973 version, a young, newly married couple move into a creepy old House. The Fireplace is bricked shut (odd for an old house without Central Heat, to be sure). Learning from a handyman that it was purposely ''sealed'', after it's opening, we find that the House is inhabited by creepy little Goblin-Like Creature. They take a liking to the Wife and plan on ''inviting Her'' to ''join''. Naturally, Her Husband thinks She crazy until soon the proof literally ''bites Him''. A very disturbing ending makes ''Don't Be Afraid of The Dark'' – a MUST see for Fans of the Television Horror Genre.
