The Dodomeki was a type of Japanese Yokai (or Ghost). Their myth goes back to the 18th Century AD. Said to have been Thieves in their ''Past Life'', they appear ''outwardly'' Human (in form). They have unusually long arms. Regarding their arms (which they try to keep covered with sleeves), The Dodomeki has hundreds of small Bird Eyes, all capable of sight. This is in relation to The Dosen (a type of Japanese Coin with a hole in it's Center). This imagery was seen as relating to their past life of Thievery. Their ''Arm Eyes'' are said to glow when they are in or near a Cemetery. The Dodomeki are also sometimes related to Vampire Legends as well. Dodomeki are often linked to blood drinking. They cannot be ''vanquished'' through exorcism by Priest's or Holy Men however. The primary remedy is to try and have The Dodomeki ''turn from their former love of Thievery'' and amend their current ''spiritual form'' as a ''Good'' Yokai.
