Seen and spoken of in many Southeast Asian stories and fables, The Diwata are humanoid in appearance. They appear to be immortal (or at least do not age normally). They have unusually soft and supple skin (devoid of blemish or wrinkle). Often seen as pale, they also have blonde to white hair. Having a supernatural overtone , they are said to be Protectors of Nature. They are said to have been Creators of The World and of Man (in some cultures). They are difficult to see (whereas they use magic to conceal their activities).
