A Hindu God, Dhanvantari is revered as The ''God of Medicine'' and is closely linked with The Hindu ''Creator God'' Lord Vishnu. He is often invoked to promote ''good health'' or ''success at Medical procedures''. He is depicted as a Male, often well dressed. He is shown carrying a Pot inside of which is a common Leech (used in Ancient Medicines as a mean of drawing out impurities in the blood of an afflicted Patient).
