A 1964 British Horror Movie, ''Devil Doll'' concerns an unhinged Ventrilogist whose Doll (named ''Hugo'') is actually possessed with a former Assistant's Assistant (equally unhinged). Naturally, Our Performer is billed as an incredible Act, mostly because His ''Dummy'' is REAL (a Ghost). The Ventrilogist eventually falls in love with a Woman, and plans to totally control Her, by using Black Magic to cast Her Soul into another Doll (of which Our Madman plans to cast off ''Hugo''). An angry Hugo escapes from where He was locked away (a cage), and destroys the specially made Doll into which the Woman's Soul would be placed. An enraged Ventrilogist fights with Hugo, (who apparently paying attention to Spell Casting 101), during a physical romp, Hugo Casts a Spell that transfers His Soul into His former Master (and visa versa). The film ends with a creepy shot of the Doll Hugo, only with The Ventrilogist voice crying for ''help'' from ''within''. ''Devil Doll'' was an early genre form to many other ''Doll'' related Horror Films such as ''Chucky'', ''Dead Silence'' and many others.
