The Devalpa are desert-dwelling Demons of Arabia and The Middle East. As Shapeshifters, their mist common form is that of a helpless Old Man. Acting exhausted, they wait for a helpful soul to come along. Begging for a ride (Piggyback), they promise great fortune for the effort. However, this is their ruse. Once on, the true form of The Devalpa is shown. Long and horrible snake-like tentacles burst forth from their abdomen, completely encircling a victim. Chocking them to neat death, The Devalpa scream repeatedly "SERVE ME!" Because of their superhuman strength, one cannot break free. Upon agreement, the victim will be damned to serve them for life.The one weakness of The Devalpa - is The Devalpa itself. They are obsessed with wine. If one can get them very drunk and pass out, one can either bind or kill them - or simply just escape.
