Denailing

Another Ancient form of Torture, ''Denailing'' in practice, it involves the tearing or ripping of the nails of the hand (or toes) – by force. Many tactics and tools were used to accomplish this feat. Often wedges were shoved and hammered into the nails to remove them from the finger bed. Pain in either area was horrible (and quite effective). A favorite of The Spanish Inquisition, Denailing was (and still is) a popular method for seeking information from a victim. Most Countries used this form of Torture to extract information or ''Confession''.
