''Sigils'' are a type of ''personal initial'', made into an image and used in various forms of Magic and Occult practices. Often a Sigil is less powerful than the actual vocalization of a Demons name. However, in casting spells, Sigils were arranged on Magic Circles or Altars, used for Conjuring. Their exact origins as far as ''when'' the first Sigils were used in Magic, but some of the earliest Western examples date to the 12th Century AD. One of the first ''complete'' lists of Demonic Sigils (of which there are 72), appeared in the infamous ''Lessor Key of Solomon'' (17th Century AD). Each corresponding Demonic ''Leader'' is represented by a personal Sigil. Multiple Sigils meant invoking multiple requests for Power or Patronage. This grouping of Sigils is commonly called a ''Shoal'' (referencing Judaic Religious Belief in Hades).
