Dearg Due

 Ireland has Vampires. That is nothing new since Bram Stoker (Author of the legendary Gothic Horror story Dracula ) - was Irish. These legends of The Dearg Due are MUCH older than him. Going back to the 11th Century, these are beautiful green haired Lasses who lure young men to dine with them (and then dine on them). A Demon, the origin story says that a local beauty from a wealthy Family, fell in love with a poor man. This annoyed her Father, who promptly took her away (locked her up) and forced her into an arranged marriage with a particular cruel man. Distraught, she committed suicide. She was buried near the spot where she fell in love with the poor man. Rising from her grave, she killed and drained the blood of Dad and her Husband. Once a year, she rises to kill at least 2 rich men .
