''The 3rd Circle of Hell is dedicated to Gluttony. It is described as a ''Lake of putrid fluid, foul beyond all reason. Freezing cold, it is constantly replenished by a continual rain of similar liquid. The Damned, who on Earth gave into their over indulgences, wallow in the muck and mire – agonized by both the smell and freezing temperature. Guarded by Hell's ''Watchdog'' or Cerebus – He mauls and scratches at those who swim too close to the shore and safety. Past Cerebus, several Legions of Demons armed with whips await to torment those who may have so evade Cerebus. So scourged, they are thrown back into The Lake of Putridness.
