The subject of an Ancient Greek ''cautionary tale'' – ''Daedalus'' was a cunning Inventor – who worked for The King of Crete, Minos. Minos wished Daedalus to construct a Labyrinth to contain The Minotaur, the fierce half-Bull, half-Human Monster. However, Daedalus revealed His secret to a Hero, and so placed His own life in danger from The King. Daedalus, as an ''Inventor Supreme'' made ''waxen Wings'' and flew away. This gave Him even more adoration from many. Under protection from King Cocalus, Daedalus future experiments with flight would lead to the death of His Son, Icarus – who failing to listen to His Father's warning, flew too close to The Sun (thus melting His wings of wax and falling to His death. After a later betrayal of His latest Benefactor, Daedalus was slain by the Kings' Daughters.
