Cryptoterrestrials

A ''Theory'' put forth in the late 1940s and 1950s, was that what was thought to be ''Extraterrestrial Life'' (from another Planet), were in reality ''Earthly'' Residents. These unknown (or perhaps forgotten) Races were actually various forms of Human evolution that did not evolve along traditional lines. Most sought refuge from what they perceived as ''primitive life'' (meaning current Mankind). Retreating into the deep recesses of Earth (''Hollow Earth Theory'') or Antarctica (deep below ice), they evolved superior technology (UFOs). As such, they are known to ''experiment and investigate'' just how current Humankind is or is NOT ''advancing''. The Cryptoterrestrials are supposedly well known to World Governments who help ''perpetuate'' the myth of them being Extraterrestrial. It was these ''Races'' who at various Eras, were responsible for most of Human Culture's ''Great Civilizations'', such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Aztec etc. In a variation on the theory, some Fans of the ''genre'' state that these ''Cryptos'' are actually the descendants of Human and Alien (other Planetary) Life, whose DNA have been merged to create ''Cryptos''.
