A Folk Magic Deity (Loa), derived from The Yoruba Tribe – ''Congo'' was transported to The Caribbean. He has several portrayals in Art, the first – being that of a ''very handsome African Man''. This version is more so accepted in American Folk (Voodoo) Magic. The Caribbean version is often portrayed as a ''fierce, Troll-like Entity'', with a ''very bad temper''. Congo is invoked to ''calm or cool'' One's Anger (Emotion). Although Congo is seen as ''friendly'' for a Loa – he is very apathetic towards the ''Human Condition''. His offerings are Rum, Sugar and Coconuts with the Color ''White'' being His as well.
