Classical Elements

Also known as The ''Five Elements'' are a concept of Ancient Alchemy and can be found in many Cultures throughout History. The adaption of which, was also embraced by Practitioners of various ''Earth'' Forms of Magic (Wiccan, Pagan etc.). The various Elements used of Earth were seen to enhance particular spells or formulations. The Elements were: Earth, Water, Air, Fire and Spirit. In terms of ''Spirit'', this was seen as the actual essence that all inanimate objects have (or maintain) – perceived or not. By way of example, a Tree is seen as a living organic organism that ''breathes and reproduces'' hence it too must possess some form of Soul (hence Spirit). Various colors have been used as well to identify The Classical Elements, as have the addition of other meanings (depending on Cultural Belief). Typically, when drawn – The Elements were placed in a 5-pointed Star, relative to the points of The Earth.
