An unusual Goddess from Ancient Chinese Mythos – ‘’Chuangshen’’ was seen as the personification of ‘’Marital Love’’, Sex, Fertility and related protections. In China, as was common for many Centuries in that and other Countries – Marriages were arranged (more so out of advancing a Families fortunes, political aspirations etc). ‘’Love’’ was something that was NOT taken into consideration. As such, many young Couples were married without even knowing each other (or having any feelings for such). Chuangshen was invoked to instill Marital Love between the two. In addition, She ensured that any ‘’issue’’ from ‘’intimacies’’ were healthy. She was also venerated to make sure that such pregnancies came to term without problems.
