Although the use of directed light to ''heal'' people of various illnesses is a concept traced to Ancient Greece, Chromotherapy was heavily experimented with by some in the 1870s. It was thought that different spectrum of light (identified by colors – of which only some can be visually detected by the Human Eye), could be directed into specific areas of The Human Body. These rays would then stimulate various glands which could heal or cure a specific ailment. Seen widely by Modern Medical Authority as ''Fringe'' pseudoscience, some Modern Healers still cite success with Chromotherapy – by the use of ''specialized machines''.
