A ''Classification'' of Paranormal Being found throughout many European Cultures (and others it seems), a ''Changeling'' had many definitions (all of which were quite similar). These were Entities, mostly non-Human in origins, which were substituted by other Supernatural Beings for Human Infants. While the Changeling may ''look'' Human, in time – as Legends go, they ''turn'' into ''troublesome'' and often ''Evil'' Entities in their own right. In most Tales, the ''change'' takes place due to The Entities Race being incapable of reproduction. As such, they substitute a ''Being'' in place of a stolen Human Infant. Once take, and using the power of magic (in most cases), these ''change'' or adapt into the Race that stole them. In most mythos, Human Parents either ''force'' or otherwise threaten the overall existence of The substituting Race into returning their Child. In other cases, The Changeling must be destroyed before it reaches ''adulthood''. In other versions, Changeling can be seen as Human beings, capable of ''changing'' their appearance into an animal (at will). Not to be confused with ''Were Creatures'' (as most Human Changelings are not dangerous, but enchanted), Medieval History is full of such ''stories''.
