From Celtic mythology, The Cernunnos is a very ancient Diety. Also called The Horned One , he is depicted a both a Human-like figure, and a Wild Stag. He featured antlers as well. Often seen holding a snake (and feeding it), this symbolized Plenty and Fertility. In later centuries, Cernunnos would mesh into other forms. Human-Stag, Wolf-Stag or Snake. Being a Pagan belief, he would naturally be shunned and demonized by early Christians.
